The climate agenda is global and includes us all. Therefore, Ramboll wishes to contribute through consultancy and own activities to a reduction of climate gases, a decrease in the climate change effects and to the protection of the values in the society.
It is a fact that the climate changes are ongoing. The speed at which the changes are occurring is accelerating. The Danish climate in 2100 promises an increase of temperature of 0.7-4.6 ºC compared to 1990. In addition, we can expect an increase in winter precipitation and generally more incidents of heavy precipitation, especially in the autumn.
Combined with the growth of the earth’s population the global warming challenges us as consultants. At Ramboll, we see it as our job, through our knowledge and through our own conduct, to contribute to the minimization of the pull on resources and of the emission of climate gases. We also see it as our job to make our knowledge available, so that the effect of the climate changes is reduced and the values of the society are protected.

We know we can make a difference with a unique holistic approach from strategy to technical know-how. We have the experience and we are innovative. We incorporate the climate agenda into all of our services and projects, whether it is a question of infrastructure, building, industry and energy plants or nature and water projects. We seek the best solutions and document the impact of our activities.
Own activities
Being a responsible partner means that Ramboll, in corporation with our employees, works actively to minimize the emission of climate gases through our conduct – we put our own house in order. We have started a long pull to minimize the consumption of resources and emission of climate gases. We make an effort through tangible initiatives and campaigns of engaging nature designed to regulate behaviour for our employees. We measure our climate conduct and reward those who make an extra effort.
In the building of Ramboll’s new domicile in Ørestad we will reduce our CO2-emission by establishing one of the newest energy saving technologies, namely ground water cooling for the use of cooling down the building in the summer and warming it up in the winter. At the same time we will minimize the heat loss by using heavy constructions and energy optimized installations. Correspondingly, we use stream water cooling in our new office located in Kolding, Denmark.
